General questions
Will the scarf or blanket be knitted exactly as designed?
One pixel in the design becomes one knitted stitch in the product, so the design will be knitted accurately. In the knitted product, the design may look a bit different, because pixels are squarish, knitted stitches are rectangular. That's why round elements may not come out perfectly round, but a bit oval . This effect mainly occurs with 5 color Football scarves, while for Football scarves with less colors, or for other products, this effect is hardly appreciable.
Will the design be revised before knitting?
No, the design will be knitted the way it is displayed in the Online Designer. Please check carefully that the elements look the way you want them. Use the zoom to examine closely if you are not sure. In the Online Designer, all elements can be worked out pixel perfect. If very small fonts are not rendered correctly, either use a different font, or change the fontsize by one point.
What kind of images, pictures, designs can be knitted?
Basically, every design can be knitted. You can add an image or other element in the Online Designer and see if it looks good in the size you put it.
The Wildemasche blanket is the largest product, so you have a lot of space to put your elements on, and you don't have to scale them down too much (or not at all). This makes it easier, compared to the Football scarf, where the elements have to be scaled down almost every time in order to fit on the product. To get a good result with the Football scarves, more pixel work is necessary.
What's the best size for an own design/image?
Generally speaking, you can use any size. But when the image has to be scaled up or down too much, you loose quality and detail.
If you are doing the whole design offline, and load it in the designer as an image, use these image sizes to get the best results:
| Football scarf 145x17cm: | 772x84 Pixel |
| Wildemasche scarf 175x25cm: | 1120x176 Pixel |
| Wildemasche scarf 125x17cm: | 800x116 Pixel |
| Wildemasche blanket 185x150cm: | 1200x750 Pixel |
| Wildemasche blanket 150x100cm: | 750x600 Pixel |
