Pick one of the three options to send in your custom pattern:
| 1. Custom pattern file |
- Using your favorite graphics software, create an empty image
Regular size (185x150cm) 1200 x 750 pixel or
Kid's size (150x100cm) 750 x 600 pixel
- Create your custom pattern: you can do freehand painting, circles, logos, squares, symbols. Use text or Word-Art, different font types, font sizes and formatting, cut and paste from other images, just everything that you like.
- Every blanket is knit in two colors. Decrease the color depth (colors used in the image) to two as well (black / white). With present graphics software, you usually have different options when converting the image. Try these options and choose the version that you like best.
Hint: In case the two color version doesn't turn out as you expected, send in the image as is (no color reduction). Before knitting your blanket, we will decrease color depth an send you a preview image file via email. One pixel in this two color image stands for one knitted stitch in the blanket.
- Save the file as PNG or JPG-Image.

| 2. Send in a photo |
- Photo size minimum 9 x 12 cm, maximum 20 x 26 cm
- Send in your photo together with your email adress and postal adress to:

- Before knitting your blanket, we will send you a preview image file of the blanket via email.
Please note: Orders without a valid email adress cannot be processed.
- Your photo will be returned when delivering the blanket.

| 3. Create your design on paper |
- The design area should be 21 x 29,6 cm or 10,5 x 14,8 cm
- Create your design in this area, using a dark colored pen or pencil and only one pen color.
- You can choose two knit colors for the knitted blanket when ordering: one for the background (paper - white) and foreground (pen - black).
- Send in your design together with your email adress and postal adress to:

Hints and tricks for file pattern creation
Create all sorts of patterns
One side of the custom blanket has 1200 x 750 knitted stitches. You can choose for each one, if it should be knitted in color one (background color) or color two (foreground color).
The back side of the blanket is made up of 937.500 knitted stitches as well, but the colors for those knitted stitches cannot be chosen independently, they are the swapped colors from the front side.
No border or blank space in pattern file necessary
Given the size of 1200 x 750 pixel for the pattern file, the blanket is knitted exactly like this. This means the first pixel in the top left corner of your pattern is going to be the first knitted stitch on the top left of your custom blanket.
Minimum size for motives, graphics, text
Depending on font type, the minimum size is about 20 points. For graphics or other motives, it depends on the motive.
Reducing color depth (number of colors used in an image)
Depending on your graphics software, there are several ways to convert your pattern to black / white.
In case your software is just a graphics viewer with no further options for editing and converting files, look for a button that reads "Decrease color depth". You'll be fine with that converting text or simple drawings. For the conversion of photos or sophisticated logos, this won't generate a good black / white pattern
Then you should try it with a graphics suite or semi-professional program, where can choose from several options when converting the file to black / white (e.g. Nearest color, dithering, error diffusion).
Please try these options, and take the version you like best.
