Pricethis is the price for one piece with your custom design. Discounts / scaled prices starting from 2 pcs with same design already. Put design in the cart and enter desired quantity, price with discount is shown in the cart.
Use the zoomto see details of your design. Scarf is knitted exactly as the file displayed, one pixel becomes one knitted stitch in the scarf. You can edit the design pixel perfect in the online designer

How do I start the Online Designer?

Click on "Product overview", choose a product, material, size and click on "Design now". The Online Designer starts with an empty design.

How do I add my own design?

1. If you already have a sketch or design, you can upload it in the online designer (as JPG or PNG). Click on "Image" on the top left, and select colors and options as described further below.
For maximum quality, check details of the design and correct manually if necessary. The design/image should be focused, use the crop function (the icon on the left of the uploaded element) to cut off parts if needed. For football / soccer scarves, fringes/tassles should not be part of the design. They will be added during knitting automatically.

2. Or you rebuild a template or design you already have in the Online Designer, uploading only the "own" parts like your logo. This way, background pattern and text are good to knit in the first place, and can be knitted directly.
Start the Online Designer, choose a template design or a unicolor background, edit colors if needed, upload your logo/image, add text and cliparts as you like.
This way, most customers get the best results.

3. The last option is to create the design offline (e.g. Photoshop), Click here for more info.

Why are the colors different compared to my original image?

The product is knitted from a limited number of colors (depending on product, 2 to 5 colors).
After uploading your image/logo/file, select the colors that should be available in the product. To add colors, click an empty color field with the "+" icon. If there is no free color field anymore, you have reached the maximum number of colors for this product. Then, you can still change colors, but not add any more.

Farben faqdesigner02

  • In the example here, white should be added to display the original logo correctly.
  • The original logo (which you find at the top left), there is no yellow, so the color is not needed for the logo.
  • But yellow is in the background design, so the color should not be removed from the design altogether. Uncheck the checkbox next to yellow, so this color will not be used for the logo color reduction. The color stays in the color palette of the product.

What are the green buttons "Foto" and "Logo" for?

With "Foto" or "Logo", you select the method of color reduction.
Photos often contain color gradients. When selecting "Foto", the color gradients are dithered and come out better this way.
In logos, there are often larger solid uni color spaces, where dithering would lead to bumpy results with astray pixels. So for most logos, color reduction without dithering is the best choice.

Try both options and choose the one you like better. Also use the zoom function ("-" and "+" buttons on the right side) to see the outcome in design on pixel detail level.

Which "image settings" should I use?
The buttons "default", "high contrast" und "boosted" are presets for the controllers on the right.
You can try out the presets, or alter the value as you like, which gives you an "individual" setting. It is a good practice to sharpen logos or images, so the edges come out more clearly. But not too much, otherwise there are too many astray pixel. Other settings depend on the type and quality of the original image.

How can rectangle space around a round logo be removed?

Scarf floodfill gif

When uploading a circular logo, there is a rectangle unicolor space around it. This is because the background is not transparent.
  • Click the element to select it
  • In the toolbar, click on the pen tool ("Draw"), or on one of the other tools in this menu (eraser, flood fill, color replacer). With these tools, you can remove the space around the logo.
  • If the color area is connected, the flood fill tool provides the fastest way. Choose the flood fill tool, pick "transparent" as tool color, and click in the white area outside the logo. The area is filled with "transparent" color, in other words: the white space gets erased.
Please NOTE: after editing the element with a pixel manipulating tool (pen/eraser/floodfill/colorreplacer), the size of the element cannot be changed anymore. Make sure to size the elementy correctly first, then paint on it or correct astray pixels.

Why are vector files not supported?
Because vector files / images are not pixel based. If you want, you can use vector files or vector based design software to create your design offline. But for production, we need pixel, so 1 pixel will become 1 knitted stitch.
You can export or save a vector design as bitmap / pixel based file. Please note files created this way are often too larger and still have too many colors (e.g. greyscales along the edges from antialiasing).
Depending on the actual pattern, you get better results when creating the design in the correct format, and color reduced in the first place.

This is especially true for tiled patterns. Upload a single element in the online designer, and choose from the tiling options there.
