Pullover size & piece preview

Choose the size first (S–XXL). The pattern you create is applied identically to all pieces, front, back and both sleeves get the same design. Use the piece buttons to switch views and see how the pattern sits on each piece.

If you want to design pieces separately, open your design in the classic Online Designer and continue editing there.

Patterns tab

Generative base patterns such as Waves, Perlin Noise, Rings, Checker, Droplet or Lines. Several patterns can be active at the same time and overlap; via the Layers display above the preview area you can activate or remove individual layers, or switch their blend mode, the latter often leads to strikingly different results.

Textures tab

Finer structures like Stripes, Noise or Grid that complement the base pattern. More subtle than the large pattern generators and adds extra depth to the design.

Effects tab

Distorters and mixers that transform the existing image, for example wave distortion, mirroring or pixel shift. Effects are applied to everything underneath.

Text tab

Add your own lettering or characters. Font, size and position are freely adjustable; the text color is picked from the 4 active design colors.

AI Motif tab

Describe a motif in words, the AI generates a matching image which is automatically reduced to your color selection. In the "Wordart" sub-tab you can create a lettering or logo instead, ideal for stylized text or graphic emblems. Size and vertical position on chest or back are adjustable; optionally a glow or border effect can be added in one of the active colors.

Colors

2 to 4 colors from the 26-color acrylic palette. Use the Bright and Contrast sliders to fine-tune how the colors are distributed in the design.

Display

Dithered: dotted transitions between colors, softer look.
Solid: hard color boundaries, bolder look.
Split: a mix of both.

Symmetry

Horizontal, vertical or four-way mirroring, turns random patterns into regular, ornamental designs.

Animation

The Speed slider controls the tempo of the animated preview. The animation is purely for inspiration and to help you find a nice moment, the pullover is knitted with the state visible at that moment.

Reset & Random

Reset returns all settings to default. Random rolls a completely new combination of patterns, colors, effects, display and symmetry, pressing it once or twice is enough to get a feel for the creative range. Across all combinations of active layers, blend modes, color choices, display and symmetry there are roughly several billion different designs.

Note on color appearance: Color values may differ slightly between the Online Designer and the knitted pullover. The color combination also plays a role, soft tones (white, light grey, light blue) can take on a slight tint next to bold colors.

Note on color names: Hover over the color palette to see the color names. For example, navy and black or neonorange and light red are visually close, the names prevent mix-ups.

Note on variants: Active patterns, textures and effects are marked with a dashed border. Clicking an already-active button again generates a new variant of that operator, letting you quickly cycle through many variations of a pattern without changing anything else.
